Dear Tom,
This photo was taken at breakfast time last Saturday morning at around 7:30 a.m. In the photo going from left to right that is from the window, myself, brother Larry Kenning, standing is Father Ken Moody and Brother Albert Patrick who was leaving us to return to the United States on Saturday afternoon.
Brother Larry and I took Brother Albert to the airport at 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. We were met by a Maryknoll Sister Marilyn Belt who is a nurse and works in the same place as Al did in Cereco, a place for retarded children. He worked in carpentry teaching men on how to make things out of wood.
The idea was to get educated and to be able to work on their own outside but it never happened. They dependent on him and their Mother. These men were in their 20's and 30's.
Al worked in this place for seven years. He told me that when he turned 65 years old that he was going to retire and he did.
The trip to the United States was a long one from Cochabamba to Santa Cruz and then on to Miami, Florida and then to New York City. His friend Brother Gene Casper picked him up at the airport in New York.
So he was traveling from 5 p.m. on Saturday and finally arriving at his destination at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. He said that it was a long boring trip for him.
Now he is adjusting to life at Maryknoll, New York which is the Motherhouse of the Society of Maryknoll priests and Brothers. It is a big house and crowded with retired people etc. It is not a pleasant place to be,I know that I wouldn't wa nt to be there. We have a very nice house in Los Altos, California.
Well anyway that is life for us. I have not been talking with your brother.
He has his computer on but he is idle. He is busy and very tired. He goes to bed early at 10 o.m. He is doing a lot of shaking which is making him tired.
I have itchy testicles and I don't know why. This morning I went to the pharmacy to get some cream for this itch. And also for a Franciscan priest Irineo Vargas at the Franciscan church of hospicio. He told me that he has an itch around his balls. And I could tell something was wrong because when I am teaching him that he is also scratching down his penis area.
Which can cause an erection or masturbation as well due to the sensation.
Which is very enjoyable when you are scratching.
I am glad that all is going well for you and also that the Doctor is doing fine as well.
The weather is slowly getting warmer here as Spring comes and the cold weather here is a very short spell here. The winter is not long like in the United States or Europe.
On the news it mentioned the large number of deaths due to the monsoom rains in Pakistan and also serious fires in Russia. You can see all this on the internet www.bbc.com on your computer.
